Start with the Warm Up. It has three short stories and the same kinds of questions as the real test. Then do Form A, Form B, and Form C, in that order. Each form is a little harder than the one before. Each form has three stories and fifteen questions. The forms all use different stories, so a second attempt is real practice and not a memory test.
Before each set of questions you get the whole story on its own screen. Read it all the way through. Every paragraph has its own speaker button and its own number, so you can find your way back to it later. One story in each form has a picture — look at it closely, because a question asks about it. Once you start the questions the story stays beside them, so you can always look back.
📖 3 stories · look back as much as you wantSome questions have one answer. Some come in two parts: Part A asks what the story shows, and Part B asks for the sentence that proves it, and each part is worth its own point. Some say choose two or choose three — choose exactly that many, and you need every one right to earn the point. Some ask you to click sentences: tap a sentence to choose it, and tap it again to unselect it. One question in each form asks you to write your own answer with details from the story. Mr. O reads and scores that one himself.
🧩 one answer · two parts · choose two or three · click sentences · writeWrite at least ten words. Say what you think, then prove it with at least two details from the story. Your writing saves by itself as you type, so if you have to stop, it will still be there when you come back. After you submit, you will see a strong answer to compare with yours.
✍️ 10 words minimum · use details from the storyYou get two attempts for each form. After your first try on all three forms, each form will unlock for one more attempt. You can take the Warm Up a second time right away. After two attempts a form is locked — only your teacher can unlock it.
When each question appears, the answer choices are locked for fifteen seconds. Use that time to read the question and all of the choices carefully before you pick. On these questions the choices are whole sentences from the story, so read every one of them.
⏱️ 15 second read lockAfter you confirm your answer, wait eight seconds before moving on. This gives your brain time to process the feedback — right or wrong!
⏳ 8 second pauseA timer runs the whole time. It is not a countdown — there is no time limit. It only tracks how long you take so your teacher can see your progress.
